  • Bass Tournament:  The Greater Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Bass Tournament on one of the area’s great Bass fishing lakes.  The tournament starts at safe light and ends at 2:30 p.m. (Weigh-In at 2:00 PM)

  • 12 Hours of Sebring International Races:  The best drivers and cars gather here for various races, culminating in the internationally recognized 12 hour endurance race at the Sebring International Raceway.  Third week in March. http://www.sebringraceway.com

  • Nicholas Sottile Golf Tournament:  The family of one of Lake Placid’s oldest families sponsors this event to raise money for the benefit of a variety of organizations providing services for the children of Lake Placid.  Early April.

  • Independence Day:  An exciting fireworks display takes place over Lake June in Winter from the Lake June Ball Park which is sponsored by Lake Placid Jaycees.

  • Caladium Festival:  Bus tours to the caladium fields available and many exciting craft products to choose from; the opportunity to purchase magnificent pots of caladiums & caladium bulbs as well as great food and free entertainment in Stuart Park.  July  25-26-27, 2014

  • Car Show:  Vintage and special cars, trucks and motorcycles gather in DeVane Circle to participate in this increasingly popular car show.  Prizes in every class!  This event is put on in conjunction with the Caladium Festival.  July 26, 2014
