200 crafters, local clubs/organizations
and entertainers gather at DeVane Circle
in Lake Placid for two days of fun, food
and entertainment. First full weekend
in February.

Highlands County Fair: Rides,
animals, entertainment and many other
activities that you associate with a
county fair are to be found at the
Highlands County Fair Grounds in
Sebring. Mid February.

Historic Sports Car Race:
Historic sports car race at the
internationally famous Sebring
International Raceway. Usually the
first weekend of the month.

Bass
Tournament: The Greater Lake
Placid Chamber of Commerce holds its
annual Bass Tournament
on one of the area’s great Bass fishing
lakes. The tournament starts at safe
light and ends at 2:30 p.m. The Chamber
has been giving a paycheck of 80% of the
total entry fees – and you can enter for
the “Big Bass” prize! Mid March.

Hours of Sebring International Races:
The best drivers and cars gather here
for various races, culminating in the
internationally recognized 12 hour
endurance race at the Sebring
International Raceway. Usually the
third week in March.

Caladium Festival: Bus rides to
the caladium fields and caladium
displays in nearby subdivisions; many
exciting craft products to choose from;
the opportunity to purchase magnificent
pots of caladiums, entertainment and
great food. Stuart Park, Interlake
Boulevard and North Main Avenue. Last
full weekend in August.

Car
Show: About 300+ vintage and
special cars, trucks and motorcycles
gather in DeVane Circle to participate
in this increasingly popular car show.
Prizes in every class! This event is
put on in conjunction with the Caladium
Festival. Saturday only in the last
full weekend in August.
