Creating the Sister City relationship with Lake Placid, New York was a collaborative effort between the Greater Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce and the Tour Lake Placid Organization.

Lake Placid, Forida is the only non Olympic Sister City that has a relationship with Lake Placid, NY.  We share the history of Melvil Dewey as well as art and culture.  The proclamations were signed October 31, 2011 in both municipalities.
