Lake Placid proudly claims to have more clowns per capita than any other town in Florida. The School, founded by Toby, aka Keith Stokes, is largely responsible. Stokes, a clown for more than 30 years, founded the school in 1993 to carry on his work of “clown medicine” at nearby hospitals after he suffered a heart attack. Since then, more than 1,000 clowns have graduated from Toby’s.

Plans are underway to add a 30' X 30' addition to Toby's Clown School for the new museum and library. We are located at the corner of DeVane Circle and Interlake Blvd. When completed, we will hold our adult clown classes there. Applications can be printed from our website www.tobysclownfoundation.org. Look for an expanded gift shop too.
